FAQ: I'm not sure how to take a photo suitable for you to work from for my cats. Can you give me some advice please.
Answer: Here's some tips to produce the best possible photo for a cat or dog portrait:-
1. Photograph your cat outside. This avoids the use of flash which tends to "bleach" the subject, and provides a natural daylight.
2. Get down at the cat or dogs level, don't photograph from above because this may produce a distorted feel in the final portrait.
3. Try to make sure that the animal fills the picture - you'll probably need to be quite close to achieve this.
4. Make sure that the photo is in focus, and in colour.
Following these tips will produce the best possible cat portrait.
