Cavalier King Charles Spaniel

FAQ: I notice in this picture that the name of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is not included. Do you recommend including the name of our spaniel on the portrait, and if so, where is it best to write it?

Answer: It's really up to you whether or not you would like to include your dogs name on the work. I usually sign the work in the bottom right hand corner, so placing the name in the left hand corner becomes a good visual balance. Some people prefer to leave the name of the portrait, but include it on the frame. Others simply prefer the painting without the name of the spaniel or pet.
