My wife was so very pleased with the portrait, she thought it was an amazing piece of work...she is telling everyone she shows it to how perfect it is.

I have just been given the portrait of Brig the collie you did for my birthday, and it is wonderful, I feel you have captured his personality, and it's as if he is in the room with me.

Pallant House Gallery

Pallant House Gallery has the largest collection of British art outside of the Tate and a dynamic and innovative learning programme. Julie is involved with developing programmes that support people who have difficulties accessing the arts due to disabilities, illness, injury or other reasons. Inspiration

Julie draws her inspiration from the great pastel works of Edgar Degas. She desires to capture the essence of beauty, either felt or seen;
"While busily attempting the most painstaking imitation of nature, I do not for a moment let go of the feeling which has gripped me. Reality is a part of art but emotion completes it." (Jean Baptiste Camille Corot)
