I just wanted to say thank you so much for your efforts. It's a stunning picture of her and I'm sure my mum will treasure it when I give it to her next month….Thanks for all your help before and during the process - it will be a wonderful, memorable gift for my mum.

…everyone agreed you had captured Jakes true character and features , and having the portrait reminds them that he was the very best family pet . Thank You once again.

…thank you for the wonderful portrait of Fizz – you have truly captured her personality in the painting and the gleam in her eyes is of a lifelike quality. The rest of the family here are equally impressed and we will treasure this image long after she has left us behind.

Hi, thank you for visiting my site. Painting portraits has always been something of a passion of mine, even since childhood! Please do take a look around. There’s an online gallery of previous commissions to explore, a FAQ section, and more about me as an artist. And if you have questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
All my dog portraits are painted in pastels, a media that famous artists such as Degas have used to create remarkably animated portraits. I love this media because it allows me to capture fine details and create movement within the work. Dog portrait sizes begin at 12” by 9” (as head and shoulders works) and can be as large as 24” by 18” for full body studies or group portraits. You can view more of my dog paintings by following this link.
I usually undertake cat portraits at 12” by 9” as head and shoulder studies, and 16” by 12” or 18” by 14” for full body works. There is also the option of creating group portraits of your cats, as can be seen in this example, and these are painted as larger works. Some owners also like me to add a background to work, with perhaps a view of their pet in the garden or favourite indoor spot. Click here to see more cat examples.
Like my other portrait commissions, I work on horse portraits from photos sent in by the owner. Sometimes the customer will indicate a preferred one for me to work on, and I can advise whether this will be possible. In this example, I created the work by piecing together several reference photos of the different horses and then arranged them together in the one portrait. Follow this link to see more examples of my past horse commissions.
