Dog Portraits
From the big bear-like Newfoundland, to the delicate toy-like Papillion, I understand the specific requirements needed to capture dogs of all breeds and temperaments. Pastel portraits have a timeless and romantic feel to them, they elevate the subject and allow for the lifelike portrayal of your beloved pet. Each portrait will be as unique as they are! They can also be crafted to include personal details, like the scenery from a favourite walk or a special tag, collar, or toy. I will follow your lead and create a portrait which you can treasure forever.
Other Subjects
Most of my commissions are for dogs, cats and horses, but I also do get asked to undertake other subjects such as guinea pigs, rabbits and parrots. These are usually painted at smaller sizes such as 10" by 8" and 12" by 9". However, it's best to begin by sending me some photos of your animal and then I can advise you on what might work best. Horse Portraits
Owners develop a unique bond with their horses. These beautiful animals carry us on scenic treks, they partner with us in sports, and tow our royal carriages. They become our friends and in many ways our equals. So, whether you have a thoroughbred racehorse or your first child’s riding pony, I will seek to capture your companion and bring them to life in a portrait.
