Pet Portrait Prices in Pastel – 2026
Curious about pastel pet portrait prices? The cost of a work depends on the size, number of pets, and level of detail you choose. Typically a small painting will cost £240 (about $325 US Dollars) whereas as a large full body work with a scenic background is £735. From a small head-and-shoulders studies to more substantial works, outlined below are my UK prices for pastel portraits from photos in 2026. In these lists I'm also going show how the type of pet (e.g. large or small breed) influences the size of the work, to help you choose the perfect portrait for your pet and budget. 10" x 8" - £240 (suitable for small breed dogs and cat subjects)
12" x 9" - £295 (suitable for small/medium breed dogs and cat subjects)
16" x 12" - £375 (suitable for all sizes of dogs)
18" x 14" - £435 (recommended for horses, large dogs and group portraits)
20" x 15" - £495 (for horses, large dogs, and group portraits)
24" x 18" - £680 (for group portraits)
Full Body Portraits
16" x 12" - £470 (suitable for cats and small breed dogs)
18" x 14" - £530 (recommended for small/medium breed dogs)
20" x 15" - £595 (suitable for medium breed dogs)
24" x 18" - £790 (for medium/large breed dogs, and group portraits)
Optional Extras
Group Portraits
please add £160 for each extra subject you require.
When ordering group portraits I recommend the following sizes:
• Head and shoulders portraits - 16" x 12" or 20" x 15" for 2 dogs or cats
• Full body portraits - 20" x 15" or 24" by 18" for 2 subjects, or 3 head and shoulder subjects
Scenic Backgrounds
It's possible to add a scene of your choice to the portrait - for example, your dogs favourite walking area or a view in your garden.
10" x 8" - add £45
12" x 9" - add £70
16" x 12" - add £100
18" x 14" - add £120
20" x 15" - add £140
24" x 18" - add £170
Additional Features
It's free to add extra features to your portrait (of any size or type). Examples of these might include:
• The collar
• A dog tag
• A scarf
Just let me know if you have any special requirements when you come to order. You can do this via email, or if you're ordering via the post, simply make a note of it on the order form.
Gift Vouchers
The ideal gift if you have run out of time to order a portrait, or if you would prefer the recipient to choose the photo etc. Available for any price of portrait, and valid for one year from the date of issue. Vouchers are presented with previous commission examples in a colour brochure with information about ordering. These can be ordered online, or if you're ordering by the post, simply write "gift voucher" in the additional information box on the order form, and specify what type/size of portrait you would like to give.
Postage and Delivery
UK Orders - Postage and packing is £15. These are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery (this is a next day insured delivery, covering loss or damage in transit).
International orders - are sent by insured airmail service. Delivery is charged at $30 US dollars (this also covers any loss or damage in transit).
